Word Weavers Boone County is set to host a one-day Christian writers workshop on Saturday, July 26, featuring acclaimed author and speaker Julie Lavender. The event promises a blend of inspiration, practical instruction, and faith-centered creativity for writers at all levels.
Julie Lavender, recognized for her impactful devotionals, children’s books, and faith-based nonfiction, is the author of several award-winning titles, including Raising Good Sons and 365 Ways to Love Your Child. Passionate about empowering writers to use their talents for Kingdom purposes, Lavender will lead the workshop alongside her husband and occasional co-author, David Lavender. Together, they will provide attendees with teaching, personal testimony, and hands-on guidance tailored for Christian writers.
The workshop is designed to help participants refine their writing skills, foster connections with fellow faith-driven storytellers, and explore how to craft stories and messages that honor God — whether through blogs, books, devotionals, or other formats.
The full-day workshop will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Grace Fellowship Church, located at 9379 Gunpowder Road in Florence. The registration fee is $75, and early sign-up is advised due to limited seating. Interested individuals can register at writecrowdworkshop website.
